141. Varka, basilica (Βαρκά, βασιλική)
During Frankish or Catalan rule the space within the walls was
divided into three parts with two transverse walls. The highest
element, the donjon, served as the last shelter.

At this site, between Ypati and the village of Loutra, an Early
Christian basilica with mosaic floors has been found very near
to a second construction with mosaics, possibly of the same
period.
